Partner visa allows the spouse or partner of an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident to live in Australia.

Subclass 820 – Partner visa (Temporary)
This Partner visa lets the spouse or de facto partner of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (PR) or eligible New Zealand citizen live in Australia temporarily. This visa gives you the pathway for a permanent partner visa.

Subclass 801 – Partner visa (Permanent)
This visa lets the spouse or de facto partner of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (PR) or eligible New Zealand citizen live in Australia permanently. To be able to apply for this visa you must hold a temporary partner visa for at least 2 years.
